An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to join our On-Board Experience Team. The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for driving the business decisions to achieve its financial, operational and related targets, ensuring compliance with all governance requirements.
Utilising your experience with regard to achievement of financial targets, correct decision making and internal control, your primary activity will be reporting, analysis and driving optimal decisions in the line area to support the delivery of the key business priorities.
You will play a key part in providing the day-to-day reporting and analysis with the business to achieve strategy through correct decision making and knowledge sharing, using insights to advise on decisions to reduce cost, whilst challenging and supporting functional leaders to improve performance and manage risks and opportunities.
Duties will include –
- Create and deliver analysis reports to the global catering operations team.
- Monitor the completeness and accuracy of reporting presented to the business and the wider supplier community.
- Develop and implement reporting using various reporting platforms available
- Deliver statistical analysis on both strategic and tactical issues to drive informed debate and effective decision making for catering operations, resulting in improved contribution to the wider airline business.
- Input to monthly financial reviews and forecasting, proposing focus areas and key messages in agreement with stakeholders.
- Analyse cost performance, highlighting relevant issues and providing recommendations outlining appropriate action to be taken (e.g., review current price paid, highlight non-payments or price changes)
- Assist with operational performance reviews of suppliers against contracted key performance indicators.
- Assist with the project management and deployment activities of new systems and technology within the global catering operations business, including user acceptance testing and where directed, operational support for third party users.
- Preparation of analytics for business cases or project activities on a case-by-case basis.
- Contribute to the generation and preparation of the monthly performance reporting for the whole global catering operations.
- Support new system upgrade and/or implementation/rollout according to the project plan.
- Perform user acceptance tests for new system upgrade and/or implementation/rollout when required.
- To hold regular monthly financial review meetings with key stakeholders
Knowledge of airline catering industry, awareness of software/system development lifecycle, advanced excel knowledge and proven experience with various reporting functions within MS Excel and experience in using datamining tools (i.e. SQL, Tableau, Business Objects) are desirable for this role
