Business Intelligence Analyst (Business Analyst / Management Accountant) 5 Year Fixed Term post
Hours: Full-Time, 35 hours per week (consideration for substantial part-time and/or flexible working will be given)
Salary: £42,000 (pro rata for part-time working) depending on experience and qualifications.
Location: Based in our Diocesan Office in Stoke Gifford (North Bristol)

The Role
We’re the Diocese of Bristol – the Church of England across Bristol, South Gloucester, North Wiltshire and Swindon. That’s the part where some will be inclined to stop reading…but if you keep going, you might be surprised by what you find.
The Diocese of Bristol is in the early stages of implementing an exciting new £23m, 5 year investment strategy designed to grow the reach, influence, social and spiritual mission of the Diocese.
We want to transform our communities through positive social change and long-term environmental and financial sustainability. The work you do will help focus the project and program management in delivering the best return both in social, spiritual impact but also environmental influence.
To achieve this, we are building a dynamic new Business Intelligence function to understand our data and social trends and target our investments into the right areas. You will be responsible for the data collection, analysis and intelligent insights into the data in a clear and user friendly way using Power BI and other analytical tools. At the same time you will own the month end reporting to managers and help them fully understand the results, budgets and forecasts for the Diocese and Program and project teams. To do this it would be helpful to have a financial qualification or business development background.
Your responsibilities will cover:
· Transforming Church. Together project reporting;
· Using data to inform the leadership team what impact we are having;
· Where we might get the most impact;
· You will build a new and user friendly Monthly Reporting Pack and KPI’s
· Using Power BI develop a Diocesan dash board;
· Forecast results with the business owners;
· Build a business model with key drivers and assumptions;
· Develop a business manager owned budget to measure and help manage performance and outcomes;
