We are looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team and deliver high quality data, information reports and visualisations to key business stakeholders across the business.

Job description
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Managing the provision of timely and accurate information ensuring it meets customer requirements.
- Representing MI interests as subject matter experts (SME) and providing technical support and expertise.
- Ensure the production of new, regular and ad-hoc MI reports.
- Analyse and interrogate DVSA’s data in order to gain a better understanding of the trends and anomalies that affect DVSA’s services.
- Managing the team's support of the government's transparency agenda.
- Executing leadership and management responsibilities.
Person specification
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have experience reporting data and solutions using Power BI or another similar visualisation tool allowing you to present recommendations to stakeholders.
- Be naturally inquisitive with an eye for problem-solving and finding innovative solutions.
- Have great communication skills; being able to articulate to stakeholders at various levels.
- Be able to advise, contribute and challenge, where necessary.
- Manage and engage with integrity.
- Demonstrate leadership as well as collaborating with other managers.

How to Apply
To apply for this role, you will need to provide your CV and Personal Statement.
Please structure your Personal Statement to provide detailed evidence of each of the following:
- Experience of reporting and dashboard reporting design and creation, demonstrating requirements gathering from different business user groups.
- Experience of creating reporting solutions using Power BI (or other similar data visualisation software), Power Query and Excel, including experience of querying databases.
- Strong analytical skills; gathering and interpreting from a wide range of information and sources and forming insights.
Sift & Interview Dates
The sift is due to take place on 14th September 2023.
Interviews are due to take place from 28th September 2023.
This interview will be conducted via a video interview, details of which will be provided to you should you be selected for interview.
We will try to meet the dates set out in the advert. There may be occasions when these dates will change. You will be provided with sufficient notice of the confirmed dates.
The selection process will be designed specifically for the role. As a result, your assessment will include:
- A pre-interview exercise involving analysis and visualisation of a dataset
- An interview including presentation of, and questioning on, the pre-interview exercise.
