Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Business Information Team, as a Business Informatics Analyst, focusing on Community Health and Locality Services. The post holder will be responsible for the production and development of contractual and statutory reporting as well as developing internal and external reporting to support operational core business and clinical decisions.
The post holder will have extensive experience in working with contractual and statutory NHS returns, performance monitoring, activity forecasting, SQL, an acute understanding and experience of working with NHS Key Performance Indicators, internal and external stakeholder engagement and Corporate Support within the NHS. You will be highly skilled in data manipulation, analysis and presentation, with experience of using business intelligence (BI) tools.
- Responsible for the development, preparation and provision of high quality and timely information reports which reflect the CSU performance and operational issues as per the reporting schedule.
- Analyse Trust data sources to provide high level analysis, interpretation, synthesis and presentation of information reports to meet specific objectives and ensure managers are advised of any potential problem areas; the information to be presented in a clear and concise manner, and where appropriate to recommend solutions.
- Contribute to development and design of internal reports and external reports. Ensure published guidance and reporting specifications are adhered to and provide specialist knowledge.
- Understand and interpret complex ad hoc requests and respond appropriately to tight deadlines. This entails the analysis, investigation and resolution of complex information issues
- Analyse local and national benchmarking data to identify data quality issues, trends over time ensuring large changes are investigated i.e. Statutory NHS submissions i.e. CCG returns and performance, escalating any variance or data quality issues identified and potential reasons.
- To ensure all data extracted from information systems balances back to core applications and to support and lead any necessary corrective actions.
