Business Improvement Analyst

Right now, we’re looking for a Business Improvement Analyst to join our UK Solutions team based in Nottingham. Here you’ll support improvement activities to deliver measurable business benefits. You’ll achieve this through a combination of project work and by building robust foundations for continuous improvement by embedding group standards to build capabilities and create engagement.
This broad role sits across our UK Solutions pillar, offering support to a variety of UK Solutions businesses including City Energy Solutions (district heating), Lighting & Grid, (streetlighting and signalling) and Residential Solutions (EV, solar and heat pumps). Key responsibilities include
- Working with the local business areas to identify and scope the work.
- Creating, defining and monitoring both project and programme activity, progress and impact.
- Analysing data to generate insight, reports and recommendations.
- Facilitating plans to redesign and optimise processes – creating measurable benefit and/or positive customer satisfaction.
- Supporting with the design and implementation of new working practises as directed by the Business Improvement Lead.
- Actively coaching local teams to ensure working practices are functioning as intended.
- Developing toolkits to allow the business to sustain solutions and continually improve.
- Engaging with a variety of stakeholders, from senior leaders to front line employees to effectively problem solve and deliver a solution.
What we need from you
- Experience working in an Engineering/Construction/Installation environment.
- Implementation skills – working with the process owners, managers and staff.
- Change management and coaching skills – bringing about effective change.
- Influencing skills – being highly credible with the local teams to bring about desired cultural change.
- Problem solving skills.
- Awareness of a change methodology (e.g., Lean, Operational Excellence, Six Sigma, Systems Thinking).
- Demonstrable business acumen and ability to understand financial and performance reports, basic statistics and opportunities.
- A performance management mind-set.
- Demonstrable ability to manipulate and analyse data to make robust recommendations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in a variety of formats to a variety of stakeholders (director to front line advisor).
It would be great if you had
- Experience of using Power BI, VBA, advanced Excel tools and other similar applications.

- The salary for this role is £41,795 - £53,061.
- This role is based from our offices in central Nottingham with hybrid working.
- Regular UK travel is required with this role, which will include overnight stays.
- This is a permanent role.
