Job Purpose
As an (Internal) Business Development Manager, you're comfortable on the phone, providing a top level of technical expertise and personal service for inbound broker queries and External Business Development Managers, who are out meeting clients. You will get involved from the early application stage right through to completion. This role comes with excellent growth opportunities within a busy and exciting team!
What you'll do
- Provide a point of contact for all inbound broker queries – you will be the shop front of Octopus Real Estate
- Manage, build and maintain relationships with existing and new brokers alike
- Provide an exceptional level of customer service
- Implement new sales and marketing campaigns
- Provide indicative terms over the phone and via e-mail to our brokers
- Chase prospective deals through to the application stage and deal with any queries that may arise
- Support existing and prospective client firms over the telephone
- Focus on developing long-term relationships that deliver
- Provide support to EBDMs and their clients
- Efficiently manage your workload in a fast-paced and pressured environment
What you'll bring
- Experience in a similar role and a background dealing with brokers would be ideal but not essential.
- Results-driven and motivated by a target/KPI environment
- Exceptional phone manner and communication skills, always with a customer focus
- High-quality interpersonal skills
- Must be comfortable in using technology and leveraging digital applications and media platforms
- Always seeking to improve processes where possible
