Compensation: Starting Salary Range £36,000 with OTE £45,000 +

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our client as a Local Strategic Partnerships Manager/Business Development Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing strategic partnerships with key stakeholders at the local level within the Hospitality, Conference and Events sector. You will collaborate with various community organisations and entities to foster mutually beneficial relationships that advance the organisations objectives and create positive impact in the community.

You will be building revenue streams by identifying, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients. Be an ambassador for the client, bringing profile to the business by attending local networking events and forging strong relationships with leading local businesses.

What you will need:

● Knowledge of responsibilities and duties required from a Business Development
Manager/Strategic Partnerships Manager
● Understanding of profit & loss
● Minimum of 3 years experience as a Business Development / Sales Manager, and evidence of past sales achievements
● Good organisational skills and excellent customer service skills
● Excellent communication and negotiation skills
● Ability to work effectively using maximum initiative and inventiveness to achieve the sales targets
● Ability to work in an organised and methodical manner
● Specific attention to detail
● Target driven
● Good command of both spoken and written English

Key Responsibilities

● Drive all revenue streams by identifying, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships. ● Develop a growth strategy focused on both financial gain and customer satisfaction
● Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
● Research organisations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential new markets
● Build a territory plan to identify geographic locations and target strategy
● Research the needs of other companies and learn who makes decisions
● Contact potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings
● Planning and supporting new marketing initiatives
● Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events
● Preparing presentations and sales displays
● Negotiate the terms of an agreement and close sales
● Negotiate and renegotiate by phone, email, and in person
● Develop sales goals for the team and ensuring they are met
● Train personnel and help team members develop their skills
● Build long term relationships with new and existing clients
● Develop & nurture new business leads that come from within the hotel
● Have, at all times, updated information on all major competitors (SWOTS)
● Prepare reports and make presentations to both customers and senior management
● Identifying new methods and opportunities for sales campaigns
● Understand forecasted sales targets and work strategically to achieve these targets focusing on GAPS
● Attend meetings and financial reviews as required
