Job description

Propeller Studios Ltd is a SaaS business based in Hitchin Hertfordshire. Established in 2001, it has provided business operations and document management software for 20+ profitable years. Our software products and apps are especially well utilised within the construction sector to drive efficiency and productivity.

We have an opportunity for a self-motivated and driven technical sales professional to support the launch and commercialisation of an innovative new software application.

You will report directly to the Operations Director and, working closely with our marketing team and in-house developers, have responsibility for a range of sales, business development and product management activities.

You will be expected identify and forge new client relationships while maintaining existing relationships with our existing client base and optimising opportunities to cross sell products and services. Your role will include the on-boarding of new clients as well as training and supporting our existing client base. You will be expected to identify bespoke programming works that will benefit the client base and the overall products themselves.

The successful candidate will have a high degree of technical competence with IT systems and applications, particularly process and time orientated software. A tack record of launching new IT or software would be desirable, and experience within the construction sector would be welcome but not essential.

Requirements & Expectations:

  • Successfully selling software and software subscriptions.
  • Business to business sales experience in prospecting and cold calling.
  • Experience selling to small, medium and large corporations.
  • Balance the accomplishment of near-term revenue goals with the long-term, multi-year territory development including pipeline management and product updating.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and closing skills.
  • Excellent sales presentation and business writing skills.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Experience presenting solutions both internally and externally.
  • Ability to network and develop strong business relationships not only with customers and prospects but with all departments and key stakeholders
  • Experience of developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies
  • Providing information to our clients to help solve their problems.
  • Handling sensitive client data such as payroll information and HR records.
  • Setting up new clients on our systems.
  • Uploading client’s data onto their systems.
  • Implementing the product with new clients at their place of work.

Must have skills and qualifications.

The successful candidate for this role will have:

  • An understanding of SaaS business models
  • A track record of success in managing customer relationships.
  • High quality communication skills across the full range of channels.
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Problem solving abilities
  • A desire to learn new systems and skills
  • Driving License
  • Willingness to travel for meetings
  • Relevant qualifications / experience in the use of Microsoft Office or similar software applications
  • Good organisational skills – prioritising.
  • Experience in working with data and information systems.
  • Basic maths skills.

Desirable skills and qualifications

  • Experience of launching a software application
  • Experience in handling complaints and difficult situations
  • A degree in an IT related subject
  • Construction Industry experience
