ROLE: New Business Development Manager – North UK

HOURS: Full Time – Permanent Role

SALARY: Basic £50,000, OTE £65,000 (uncapped) + Car + Laptop + Phone

Working alongside the leadership team you will be responsible for sales of a specific product range within the North UK to new customers.

You will be joining a world leader in science helping professionals and hobbyists with their everyday testing needs. The company manufacture a range of portable and fixed test instrumentation for a wide range of industries. Our customers range from large multi-nationals to artisan bread makers and everything in-between.

You will be selling scientific instrumentation so experience in this sector is desirable but not essential. We celebrate innovation not only in our products but in all aspects of our business. Your responsibilities will include:-

  • Identifying new opportunities and accounts in your territory
  • Generating your own sales leads, making appointments, and securing orders primarily to direct end-user customers
  • Larger accounts you secure may require an element of account management.
  • Consistently hit turnover targets and key performance indicators
  • Ensure customer satisfaction in all areas through regular feedback.
  • Travel to meet clients within your territory with occasional overnight stays.
  • Implementing marketing and future growth strategies
  • Recording up to date information on CRM

Qualities you will need for this role:-

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management and/or Science; or equivalent work experience & knowledge
  • Several years’ experience driving new business sales in a similar sector and can demonstrate measurable results.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience of working towards targets and KPIs.
  • Successful track record of achieving results individually and in collaboration with others.
  • Excellent communication skills - both oral and written
  • Self-starter with a hunter mentality and results-oriented attitude
