We are looking for a Business Development Manager to enhance and manage our public sector clients across the business. We are Grayce, a rapidly growing, leading consultancy specialising in emerging talent.

As the Business Development Manager for our public sector portfolio, you will be in a unique position to grow this area of the business, alongside your own career; challenging yourself to succeed and seeing our Analysts prosper in opportunities you have created for them.
What will the role look like?
As the Business Development Manager, the Public Sector Portfolio will be yours to develop. You will collaborate closely peers to strengthen and grow relationships within this space.

  • Develop strategic plans to achieve annual sales targets and expand our client portfolio in Central Government, its associated Executive Agencies and Non Departmental Government Bodies.
  • Develop and manage lead generation plans and activities within the Public Sector client base.
  • Harvest new leads and prospecting for potential new in the Public Sector.
  • Identify key Civil Servants and decision makers, scoping opportunities across potential new clients.
  • Qualifying opportunity and organising sales meetings to show case our value proposition.
  • Lead new clients through the sales cycle from nurture to conversion. This will include advising clients on the use of the most appropriate Public Sector Framework.
  • Collaborate with marketing to tailor campaigns that showcase our proposition.
  • Proactively work with recruitment to agree strategic plans to balance supply with demand.
  • Represent the business at Public Sector networking events to support growth and brand.
  • Drive engagement and a culture of continuous improvement across our business.
  • Support successful on-boarding of new clients with Client Partner and Delivery Manager.
  • Manage commercial proposals through the procurement process via the appropriate public sector framework. Grayce is currently an approved supplier via the G-Cloud 13 and DOS 6 Frameworks.
Who are we looking for?
In addition to a track record of success in the above duties, you will need to demonstrate a solid record of over achievement in previous sales and BDM roles. The successful candidate will be able to prove how they have implemented a structured approach to their business development activities. This would include how they segment the market, where they focus their energies, how they approach new accounts and how they maintain relationships. This is all in the context of framework business within the public sector.
