We are looking for a Business Development Manager to cover the South West Region.

Key Responsibilities will be:
Building Internal and External Relationships
Identify opportunities to develop and strengthen relationships to advance the business. This can mean building cross-functional teams within the organization by connecting personnel across business lines, or managing external vendor and supplier relations. This will include managing customer relations to increase the business’s visibility and reputation.
Identifying Business Opportunities
Identify areas where the business can increase its footprint. Identify potential partnerships, opportunities to enhance distribution and open up new markets, and methods to enhance efficiency within the organization’s sales and marketing departments.
Direct Strategic Marketing
Take a hands-on approach to the company’s marketing efforts. To present market research and customer profiles to company directors and team members, recommending improved strategies to expand market reach. To coordinate activities between sales and marketing teams to introduce new campaigns and make decisions that drive sales growth.
Support Operations Planning
Work closely with Managing and Sales Directors and operations to improve operations planning and overall efficiency. Assess marketing and sales operations, along with supplier and vendor activities, making recommendations for improvements and enhancements. They also make long-term operations decisions regarding product development and distribution strategies.
Develop Proposals and Presentations
Make presentations to company executives and management teams to highlight business or marketing opportunities or to present the results of new strategies. Working with the team to prepare documents and information for requests for proposals (RFPs). These RFPs often present new opportunities for business growth and enhanced operations.
Additional Duties
· Direction of sales strategy, inclusive of stocking levels, processes, setting sales objectives.
· Management of the Sales Team including day-to-day Sales Operation, HR requirements, target setting and staff development.
· Supporting sales team as required with customer liaison, guidance, structure and visitation to customers to enable the closure of sales or improvement of relationships.
· Support the disposal route of inbound trade-in equipment via network of traders and export links developed by the company.
· Sales and financial forecasting and budgeting processes together with Sales Director.
· Management and reporting of Sales Activity and Key Performance Indicators as agreed as part of company strategy.
· Reporting of Market Intelligence which could impact on company performance.
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently
Ability to think outside the box
Degree qualification in Business Studies or similar discipline
Industry or on job management training
Experience
5 years + within sales of capital equipment
3 years + of senior or middle management experience
Advanced skill with Microsoft office inclusive of Word, Powerpoint and Excel
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £55,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
