This position will be responsible for leading sales and business development opportunities for Magnetic Bearings. The incumbent will require a thorough understanding of industry and customer needs to guide and direct development efforts. This role will establish and build relationships with key potential OEMs, customers, developers, suppliers and policy influencers to advance the adoption and sale of magnetic bearings technology into the global market with an initial focus on US, Middle East and European markets.
Responsibilities:
o Manage the development and execution of a commercial strategy for the Magnetic Bearings product, in coordination with the Engineered Bearings business unit Product Manager, Global Sales Director, and executive leadership
o Establish industry connections and identify key organizations, events, standards bodies and build our companies presence and influence in the space
o Identify and build relationships with potential development partners
o Develop business cases and quotes for potential business opportunities and assist with the related internal budgeting and forecasting
o Create value adding propositions for OEMs and end users
o Share the voice of the customer and collaborate with internal functions to develop, implement, and drive commercial opportunities
o Develop key accounts (globally) and secure Magnetic Bearings business opportunities within target markets
o Facilitate established key accounts handovers to Engineered Bearings Sales team
o Guide and support marketing initiatives
o Monitor and report on market conditions, competition and trends

o Commercially astute with strong analytical and negotiation skills

o Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively, influence project outcomes, build commitment and overcome resistance with cross functional teams

o Able to demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity having operated in multiple international environments
o An understanding of manufacturing and supply chain environments
Qualifications & Experience:
o Demonstrable experience of developing business opportunities and commercial proposals
o Rotational equipment industry knowledge essential with some exposure to application engineering
o A network within the rotational equipment market (EPC’s regulatory bodies and OEM’s in this space).
o Education: Degree level in Business Management, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
o Willing to travel domestically and internationally as required - potentially up to 40% of working time
