Full Time Opportunity Job Role: Sales & Business Development Location: Chesterfield

Company History Founded in 1997, Direct Engineering has a long-standing history of manufacturing fabrications to the highest quality and safety standards. Direct Engineering is a privately owned company with full control of its own finances and asset base. Direct Engineering specialises in the mechanical design, fabrication, machining, and Sheet Metal work of Engineering products. In turn, these fabrications serve a diverse market that includes food, power generation, water, Automotive and Construction and general Engineering aspects.

Our skilled expertise applies to a broad range of fabrications, such as pipework, Construction Steelwork, Catering Equipment, and full installation projects. Direct Engineering have an extensive knowledge and capability to work with a vast number of materials such as Carbon Steels, Stainless Steels, Duplex, Nickel Alloys, Aluminium bronze.

Job Description The successful applicant will be responsible for, but not limited to:

- Maintaining current relationship with existing clients

- Developing relationships with new clients

- Development of business within new Sectors of the industry

- Maintaining and updating the Company website, social media i.e. Linked In, Presentations etc. Displaying new product ranges

- Following up all quotations and potential leads for business

- Maintain and update the Company database in relation to all quotations

- Attend exhibitions to showcase the Companies abilities and offer new marketing methods/solutions

- Providing Sales reports to the Directors

- Completing tender forms/ registration forms.

- Developing new business framework contracts.

The role will be office based to begin with, however site visits to clients may be required. The Company will make all necessary equipment available. Knowledge of the industry is preferred. Knowledge and previous use of tools such as MS Office, Social Media i.e. LinkedIn, Adobe & Digital Media Platforms is preferred.

Salary: To be agreed.

  • Business development: 5 years (preferred)
