What’s on offer?

  • Location: Nelson or Birstall (Batley)
  • Salary: Up to £42k per annum DoE
  • Car Allowance: £3,600 per annum
  • Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
  • Hours: 37.5 per week, 08;30 – 17:00, Mon - Fri
  • Working Style: Hybrid (Home & Office Based Working)

Following a recent expansion, we are currently recruiting for a Learning & Development Team Leader to support with the delivery of our overall L&D strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for the management of our L&D Partners, implementing learning solutions and developing key strategies across the business. You will also spearhead the design and delivery of our Leadership Development programmes.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone that is passionate about L&D with experience of managing and developing teams.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and developing a team of 3-4 Learning Partners who are aligned to specific business areas.
  • Developing and delivering internal training solutions such as leadership development, soft skills development, onboarding and more.
  • Designing, managing, and facilitating the DCS Internal Leadership programme.
  • Acting as a point of contact for the L&D and wider people team to enable the prioritisation and delivery of learning initiatives across the business.
  • Developing e-learning content on the internal LMS to support the learning and development offering in house.
  • Ensuring the completion of compliance, certifications, and mandatory training.
  • Supporting the Learning Partners in scoping external training and vendors.
  • Working with the Early Careers Manager and Wellbeing Manager to support learning initiatives in their areas.
  • Overseeing the Learning Management System including managing learning plans and content and reviewing content.
  • Supporting other areas of the People team and wider business on learning and development strategy and training programmes.

Qualifications


Required Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience managing and developing L&D professionals.
  • Proven experience in creating development programmes, learning modules and development tools.
  • Facilitation experience at all levels, including senior level.
  • Experience as an SME in leadership development.
  • Experience managing relationships with senior stakeholders, up to SLT/Board level.
  • Experience working with Learning Managing Systems and authoring tools.
  • Proven experience as a coach or mentor.
