Business Development Manager (Fire & Security Systems)
Location: Remote (UK-Wide)

Reporting to: Sales Director
Clearway* is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving the growth and expansion of our company by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. You will play a pivotal role in expanding our customer base, generating revenue, and positioning Clearway* as a leading player in the Fire and Security industry. Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and close sales deals, contracts, and partnerships with new clients.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall revenue growth of the company.
- Develop and implement strategies to target and acquire new customers.
- Conduct market research to identify potential new markets, customer segments, and business opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in target industries.
- Identify and engage prospective clients through various channels, such as cold calling, networking events, and online platforms.
- Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to showcase Clearway’s* products or services.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing, product development, and operations, to ensure effective implementation of new business strategies.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Provide market feedback and insights to inform product development, pricing, and marketing strategies.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in new business development, sales, or account management in the Fire and Security industry.
- Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles and strategies.
- A solid understanding of fire and security technical standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to identify customer needs and develop tailored solutions.
- Solid negotiation and closing skills to secure new business deals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess market potential and competitive landscapes.
- Self-motivated and target-driven mindset with the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
- Flexibility to travel as required for client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
- Strong experience in customer service and relationship management.
- Proven experience of successful business development results against targets.
- Excellent time management, priority management, and journey planning skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications and Training:
- Strong IT skills – Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle.

- Diligent with excellent attention to detail.
- Able to stay calm under pressure.
