Business Development Manager

We are looking for a full-time permanent Business Development Manager to expand our busy and fast-paced team.
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting our retail and service dealers, as well as representing our brand to our esteemed customer base. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks related to business development within our dealer network, all aimed at achieving our company's purpose: "To supply the knowledge and machinery to enable our customers to produce outstanding striped sports surfaces and lawns."

The team you’ll be working in
Working as part of the Commercial Sales team you will oversee, manage, and maintain our existing UK customer relationships whilst identifying new market opportunities.
What you’ll be doing
So that you can get a feel for the job, here is what you will be doing day to day:
· Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve or exceed sales targets within the assigned territory.
· Support and foster relationships with our retail and service dealers, providing them with the necessary tools and resources to effectively promote and sell our products.
· Conduct product demonstrations and training to both our dealers and potential customers, including prestigious venues and expert clientele, guiding them through the buying journey and showcasing the features and benefits of our equipment.
· Identify new business opportunities and actively pursue leads from substantial and high-profile customers to generate new business.
· Utilize your practical skills and knowledge of grounds maintenance, golf course maintenance, lawn care, or agricultural experience to effectively communicate the value and suitability of our products to customers in these industries.
· Maintain a deep understanding of our product offerings, industry trends, and competitive landscape to effectively address dealer and customer inquiries and tailor solutions to their specific needs.
· Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams, including marketing, engineering, and after sales, to ensure seamless dealer and customer experiences and meet dealer and customer expectations.
· Regularly report on sales activities, market trends, dealer, and customer feedback to the management team, providing valuable insights for business growth and product development.

What you’ll need to succeed
· Proven track record of successful business development experience, preferably in a related industry or B2B sales environment.
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and dealers.
· Demonstrated ability to understand customer and dealer needs, identify pain points, and effectively present solutions to meet their requirements.
· Strong presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to convey technical information in a clear and engaging manner.
· Practical skills and experience in grounds maintenance, golf course maintenance, lawn care, or agricultural work, enabling you to speak knowledgeably about our products and their applications.
· Genuine passion for lawns, landscaping, or related industries, demonstrating a deep understanding of the importance of well-maintained outdoor spaces.
· Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
· Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
· Familiarity with CRM systems and proficiency in using technology for sales tracking and reporting.

Hours of work are 40 hours per week: Mon - Fri 8.00am – 5.00pm
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum based on 40 hours per week, depending on experience, plus competitive bonus scheme and a company vehicle
Location: Rural, Hixon
