Freelance/Self Employed Artists – Painters, Gilders, Carvers, Plasterers etc. (fixed-term contracts)
Location: Studio location in Balham, London, with some contracts based across the UK and overseas.
Rate: Dependant on experience and ability
Who We Are
DKT Artworks specialise in the design, production and installation of site‑specific artworks and on‑site specialist decoration. Our diverse multidisciplinary team is composed of artists from over 15 countries, allowing us to draw on the expertise gained in the broadest range of artistic styles and materials. From our studio in South London, we produce an extensive range of artworks and finishes including bas-reliefs, sculptures, murals, trompe l’oeil, paint finishes, gilding, verre églomisé, antiqued mirrors, hand-crafted mosaics, illuminated artworks and polished plaster.
Job Role
With a busy upcoming schedule of large-scale projects, we are looking to expand our network of talented artists. We are looking to connect with site-based specialist decorators, stucco & polished plasterers, gilders (architectural gilding, frames and glass gilding), carvers, and those with experience in moulding and casting in resin/liquid metal.
Criteria
- Demonstrable experience in one or more of the above skills
- Ability to finish work to an extremely high standard
- High level attention to detail, precision and cleanliness
- Ability to integrate within a team and work independently
- Excellent time management, ability to manage your schedule to meet deadlines
- Ability and willingness to adapt to specific materials and techniques
- Experienced working within a busy workshop environment and/or building sites
- Previous experience working in the superyacht or high-end residential sector would be advantageous
- Checkable references
