Position: Business Development Executive
Location: Head Office, Lisburn / Field based - Northern Ireland
Job Type: Full time, permanent
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5pm, Friday 8:30am to 4.30pm (37,5 hours)
Salary: £28-33,000.00 pa plus commission plus company vehicle

Purpose of Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to apply for the position of Business Development Exec on a full-time, permanent basis. In this role you will directly support business growth in identified target areas and sectors, as identified by sales strategy, by actively engaging with existing customers to increase and diversify uptake on Matthew Algie products and services.

Job Scope:
To work closely alongside Sales and Customer Service colleagues to follow-up on warm sales leads and opportunities to improve Matthew Algies offering of products and services.

In your new role, your key responsibilities will be:
  • Engage with customers over phone, video and email communication to successfully close new or increased business
  • Maintain and develop relationships with customers
  • Record detailed notes on Sales System to track potential business
  • Use internal business knowledge to turn warm leads into deals
  • Advise customers on Matthew Algie products and services, including new developments, special promotions and custom / bespoke options
  • Liaise with internal departments to convey accurate information on demand, lead times, capacity and trends
  • Provide customers with accurate quotations and timescales
  • Monitor customer accounts to ensure needs are met proactively
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and order information
Experience:
To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have previous experience in a similar role, responsible for meeting established sales focused KPIs, preferably in a retail/FMCG environment
