Job Title: Photocopier Engineer

Morgan & Morgan, a leading provider of IT support and Document Solutions in South Wales, is seeking a skilled and motivated Photocopier Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Photocopier Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing photocopiers, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Installation and Setup: Perform on-site installation, configuration, and setup of photocopiers and multifunctional devices according to manufacturers' guidelines and customer requirements. Ensure all equipment is properly connected, calibrated, and integrated into the client's network environment.
Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and inspection of photocopiers to identify and address any potential issues before they escalate. Clean, lubricate, and replace parts as necessary to optimise machine performance and extend equipment lifespan.
Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems reported by clients regarding photocopiers and related equipment. Utilise your technical expertise to resolve issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to clients' workflow.
Firmware and Software Updates: Keep abreast of the latest firmware and software updates for photocopiers and implement them as required. Ensure that all devices are running the latest versions to improve performance, security, and compatibility.
Client Support and Training: Provide comprehensive support and training to clients on the usage of photocopiers and related software. Assist clients in understanding the features and functionalities of the equipment, addressing any queries or concerns they may have.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all service activities, including installation, maintenance, repairs, and client interactions. Prepare detailed reports on service performed, issues resolved, and recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements.
Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with the internal team, including sales, customer service, and other technical staff, to ensure smooth communication and effective problem-solving. Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers for advanced technical support or parts procurement, when needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Photocopier Engineer or in a similar role within the IT support and document solutions industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of photocopiers, multifunctional devices, and related equipment.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
- Familiarity with network connectivity, protocols, and integration of office equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients effectively.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client locations when necessary.
