We are recruiting on behalf of our client to expand their Business Development Team - a well established Further Education and EdTech provider for a Business Development Executive, the role is home based with travel to client sites in either the noth / south or midlands depending on location of the applicant.
Job Purpose
To build on the companies growth within the Education and Skills Sector through developing new business as well as managing and growing our customer accounts.
The role is centred around developing relationships with colleges, training providers and employability providers, understanding their curriculum and providing product and service solutions to meet their needs.
This role is highly sales and account management focused with accountability on growth and relationship retention
Key Responsibilities
- Targeting new business accounts and converting to sustainable and growing accounts
- Develop and manage a pipeline of opportunities, utilising inbound leads, outbound direct sales activity, an extensive database, and numerous marketing initiatives
- Nurture prospects through the sales cycle, maintaining control, developing relationships, and delivering constant engagement
- Undertaking demos on our products through our award winning learning platform. Building SaaS and direct sales models dependent on our customer need
- Work alongside both internal and external colleagues to deliver a first-class sales proposition
- Contribute to research to identify new revenue lines, customer product needs and new markets
- Evaluate the market, understand the educational funding and curriculum landscape and build propositions to our customers
- Provide insightful reports to our customers on usage, new products and delivery updates
- Attend networking events and conferences, providing stand support, attend customer meetings and present/ pitches
- Meet with your customer accounts regularly, feedback on any issues and put growth plans in place
- Hitting individual sales targets and contributing to team targets
- Developing and maintaining key relationships with customers- offering outstanding customer experience and working as a consultative partner
- Working in conjunction with operational teams to ensure we deliver on our promises
- Responsible for your own lead generation and contribution of ideas for inbound marketing leads
- Responsible for real-time reporting via CRM and constantly looking for efficiencies within sales processes or operational functions.
Salary
£30,000 - £35,000 basic plus uncapped commission - the current average commission is around 2.5k per month
