The role
Clients have never needed our services more than they do right now. We are looking for a Business Development Executive join our growing sales team. You will play a vital role by contributing to the teams’ pipeline of new sales, whilst having the opportunity to support and learn from our established Business Development Managers and Marketing team.
This varied role will consist of setting appointments with clients, providing support on sales pursuits by preparing presentations & proposals, and using your market intelligence to identify new opportunities for products and services.
Other responsibilities include:
- Contacting potential new clients using phone, email and social media to gauge interest and plan meetings
- Working with other teams and colleagues to help align offerings with the needs of clients
- Keeping on top of administrative tasks – such as updating CRM
- Supporting new product launches and bid management
Being organised, commercial, and enthusiastic are all attributes that will make you successful in this role. Energy experience is not deemed essential, but would be highly beneficial.
About you
As the role covers a number of differing activities, it is important that the Business Development Executive can prioritise their work and be flexible to change their activities to reflect the current key business needs.
You must also have:
- A keen focus on sales development
- Commercial awareness
- A detailed understanding of B2B sales process
- Strong IT skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail, internet, etc.
- Capability of working on own initiative and providing attention to detail
- Be a team player, resilient and positive
- Ability to influence people at all levels within the organisation
If you also have experience with selling to significant business i.e FTSE, Blue Chip and Global, and/or experience selling at FD, CFO or Director Level, this would be beneficial!
