Avaliable Job Today Foodpro, located in the heart of Wigan, manufactures frozen ready meals for some of the country's leading retailers.
We are looking for a talented Business Development Chef with experience of the food manufacturing industry to join our team.
You will be responsible for driving growth and success by developing new food products, identifying new market opportunities, and managing the product development process from concept to launch.
By researching food trends and consumer preferences you will identify potential product opportunities, tailoring existing products and developing new innovative recipes to ensure Foodpro's New Product Development Team keeps ahead of the market,
Your culinary skills, creativity and enthusiasm will be essential when you present each new product to internal and external customers and in supporting our NPD department on a day to day basis.
Excellent communication skills are vital as these will enable you to successfully lead the product development strategy from concept to launch and ensure your briefs for all new products are in line with internal brands/external customer requirements.
Once new business opportunities have been identified, you will be able to build relationships, establish contracts and ensure costings remain commercial.
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong knowledge of food ingredients, trends, and market dynamics
- Excellent project management and collaboration skills
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and partners
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to a variety of audiences
