Join us as a Business Development Assistant
Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting part-time Business Development Assistant to join our Relationship Management Team on FTE .6 basis (flexible on the allocation of days i.e. 3 days or 5 short days). In this role you will provide administrative support to the Relationship Management Team for Tokyo while being based in the London office.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Business development and Relationship Management Support
- Input client information on firm’s CRM tool.
- Support updating marketing campaign lists and maintaining notes when requested
- Assist translating some client communications tools from English to Japanese and vice versa
- Assist client event planning and executions working with Marketing / Events team and other stakeholders
- Assist relationship management / business development efforts including handling administrative documents
- Assist coordinating internal processes for client onboarding and new product launches as instructed
- Collaborate with other internal teams to gather some information to clearly manage firmwide client relationship
- Assist diverting requests/communications to appropriate staff during manager’s absence
Business Development Research and Analysis:
- Assist conducting market research and specific company research, including profiling of clients’ businesses as requested
- Assist special projects by gathering information on market segments and clients as part of the sales and relationship plan
- Categorise business documents into appropriate databased folder
Desired Qualifications:
- BS/BA, or equivalent work experience (desirable)
- 1 to 5 years of sales/marketing assistant experience desired but not essential
- Willing to learn Financial Institutions (banks, mutual fund managers, insurance companies etc) in Japan and Europe. Existing familiarity would be desirable but not essential
- Good communication skills with formal Japanese writing ability
- Japanese / English bilingual speaker
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Attention to detail with proven ability to see open issues through to resolution
- Strong ability to use Microsoft office suite and wiliness to work on other software
