Business Development Analyst
Hybrid working opportunity
Star OUTiCO is recruiting for an exciting opportunity as a Business Development Analyst! Our client specialises in the reliable and consistent supply of a wide range of generic and specialty pharmaceuticals and is a leader in anti-infective products. You will be responsible for taking the lead in sourcing and analysing external datasets and competitive intelligence, and owning project management and maintenance of internal databases.
Key Accountabilities:
- Building financial models to forecast the potential revenues and valuation of target assets.
- Analysing clinical data and commercial information to evaluate market trends, assess opportunity, and build market forecasts.
- Communicating business insights through multiple formats (e.g., slide decks, live presentations).
- Taking lead developing the functionality and content of the CRM system in collaboration with colleagues.
- Negotiating and managing vendor agreements for data providers for the Business Development function.
- Developing and maintaining a data-driven, asset prioritisation model, to identify a target list of potential opportunities for in-licencing, acquisition distribution agreements or product development.
- Standardising, simplifying, and documenting company processes, tools and workflows in Business Development function in line with industry best-practice.
The ideal candidate will be/have:
- Advanced degree (MA, MBA, MPH, MS, or PhD in life sciences, social sciences or statistics) and/or relevant experience in the biopharma, healthcare, market research, consulting, or financial sectors.
- Strong IT skills.
- Ability to interpret data and insights and turn into compelling, quality narratives through a commercial lens is required.
- Strong attention to detail, and highly organised, excellent project management capability, with strong work ethic.
- Excellent Financial Acumen e.g., detailed appreciation and experience of building Profitability and Return on Investment models.
- Familiarity with clinical research, drug development, and/or commercialization processes.
- Ideal experience in modelling and forecasting pharmaceutical markets.
