What You’ll Do
The Business Developer Manager of Educational Partnerships will develop new business in all regions globally as an individual contributor.
Responsibilities:
Be the first point of contact for all in bound leads
- Develop comprehensive regional strategies within the Discovery Education Playbook to ensure the development of deep educational relationships, ultimately leading to the attainment of individual and team revenue goals.
- Manage territories and relationships with education leaders and regional associations to effectively position Discovery Education services to improve student learning outcomes.
- Grow business pipeline through opportunities to increase the penetration of Discovery Education products and services across the region and hit sales targets.
- Develop relationships at an executive level within a targeted set of accounts to drive growth and maintain our trusted advisor position.
- Work with educational partners and internal DE teams (content, curriculum, product) to design and implement SaaS-based solutions that meet partners’ educational objectives and optimise the use of relevant DE resources in the partner context. Work with channel partners to increase the reach of Discovery Education’s global products. The international product portfolio includes Discovery Education Platform, Techbook, professional learning, STEM Connect, Coding, and Espresso.
Knowledge of DE Services
- Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of all Discovery Education services.
- Present overview of Discovery Education and services credibly and consistently.
- Consistently work with educational leaders to design partnerships of Discovery Education services in a meaningful and solution-oriented way.
- Serve as an expert on education in the defined territories. Maintain an understanding of industry trends, current events, and anything that may impact the business by reading professional publications, researching all available resources and participating in professional organisations.
- Effectively communicate with educational partners regarding current educational topics and trends (i.e. Next Generation Science Standards, funding, legislation, technology, etc.).
General
Live in or near the region to be active in relevant time zones daily. Additional travel approximately 10% of the time (with seasonal variations) for conferences and company meetings. This may include weekend travel. Travel likely to be once or twice a year only.
