About ReadySet
At ReadySet, we're building a distributed SQL cache that precomputes the results of prepared statements (i.e. parameterized SQL queries) and incrementally updates these results over time as the underlying data in your database changes.
ReadySet is wire-compatible with MySQL and Postgres, so it can be integrated with your existing application without code or database changes– ReadySet makes it easy for developers to build performant web, analytical, and internal applications regardless of whether they're deployed to a single region or around the world.

About this role
We are seeking a versatile and results-driven Developer Marketing Lead to join as our first marketing hire. In this role, you will be responsible for driving both product marketing and growth marketing strategies to fuel our company's growth. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact, shape our marketing efforts from the ground up, and contribute to our overall success.
Responsibilities
Growth Marketing:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive growth marketing plan that includes target audience identification, acquisition strategies, and budget allocation.
- Manage our acquisition channels including organic, paid media channels (Search, Social, Display), influencer campaigns, affiliate marketing, and anything appropriate for a developer focused brand, audience and message.
- Responsible for our sales pipeline generation numbers and our self-serve acquisition numbers.
- Drive SEO strategies to increase organic search rankings and improve website traffic and visibility.
- Reviewing site performance by performing Keyword Research and amending keyword usage and changes to internal link structure where appropriate.
- Build and execute a pipeline of experiments across our channels to optimize CAC.
- Analyze data and metrics to identify trends and use these to create insights that can inform how we optimize campaigns and drive growth.
- Utilize marketing automation tools and CRM systems to segment audiences, deliver personalized campaigns, and nurture leads throughout the customer journey.
- Manage the paid media budget allocation and decide on channels and mix.
Product Marketing:
- Develop a deep understanding of our target market, customer needs, and competitive landscape to drive effective product positioning and messaging.
- Create high-quality marketing collateral, including product presentations, datasheets, case studies, and sales enablement materials.
- Plan and execute product launches, working cross-functionally to ensure successful go-to-market strategies and coordinated launches.
- Conduct market research and customer interviews to identify customer pain points, gather feedback, and drive product enhancements and refinements.
- Work closely with the sales team to provide them with the necessary tools, training, and materials to effectively communicate product value and drive sales.
You may be a good fit if you have…
- A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in product marketing and/or growth marketing in a B2B SaaS Company, preferably in developer tooling.
- Strong understanding of the developer landscape and the forums tools they use (StackOverflow, GitHub, documentation, dev.to, blogs, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of open source development and communities.
- Strong understanding of product marketing strategies, go-to-market planning, and growth marketing tactics.
- Proven track record of driving product adoption, revenue growth, and user acquisition through effective marketing strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging and create engaging marketing content.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills and proficiency in marketing analytics tools and platforms.
- Proficiency in digital marketing channels, including digital advertising, social media, email marketing, and SEO.
- Experience with marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and A/B testing platforms.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving start-up environment, wearing multiple hats and managing competing priorities.
Benefits and Salary
We have raised over $28m from great VC funds and angels to fuel our growth and help us take our product from an ambitious research prototype to general availability. The salary range for this role is $160,000 - 200,000 USD per year. This salary range includes multiple levels and locations. Your level is based on our assessment of your interview performance and experience, which you can always ask the hiring manager about to understand in more detail.
