We have an exciting opportunity for someone to take on the role of Business Compliance Manager to work within the Sanctuary Care Quality team for 12 months as maternity cover. The role focuses on monitoring compliance and supporting Sanctuary Care with improving regulatory compliance with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and the Care Inspectorate (CI). In depth knowledge of Care regulation is essential to ensure that systems and processes are up to date with recording and monitoring relevant regulatory information. Business Compliance Manager role provides support to Sanctuary Care in relation to Business Continuity to ensure the business is set up and prepared for any business continuity event, it acts as Data Protection Designated Officer; overseeing information requests and supporting responding to data protection queries. The role also oversees Sanctuary Care's administration function which is led by the Assistant Business Compliance Manager, this includes ensuring key business information is up to date, appropriate monitoring of events (complaints, safeguardings, accidents etc.) is in place with escalation and lessons learned shared as appropriate. The role involves a significant amount of systems usage including Atlas, C365, Radar, Powerpoint, Excel use so experience using formula and formatting is essential. The ability to review large amounts of quality and compliance data, identify risks and share appropriately with the business is essential. The role of Business Compliance Manager will include: Lead, review and develop Sanctuary Care's business support and compliance functions to ensure policy compliance in all areas of service delivery, including the Care Quality Commission (CQC), Care Inspectorate (CI) and other regulatory bodies requirements. Lead and evaluate the development and implementation of effective, high quality control systems and processes that enable the accurate recording of quality assurance and other data, ensuring compliance with regulators and relevant legislation, to meet business delivery standards and support homes to evidence good governance. Provide significant expertise in the planning, technical content, development and implementation of compliance systems across Sanctuary Care. Manage the delivery of a high quality and consistent complaints resolution service, including taking the lead on identifying, recommending and recording service improvements based on lessons learned to support continued improvements in customer relations. Develop, manage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, identifying any shortfalls in service delivery, ensuring they are dealt with appropriately and outcomes are effectively communicated to staff, areas for improvement are identified and appropriate actions implemented. Act as the Data Protection Officer for Sanctuary Care and manage Business Continuity arrangements ensuring both are promoted, developed, maintained and consistently deployed within Sanctuary Care, to ensure compliance with legislation and ability to continue to provide services in the event of an emergency. Analyse and review internal and external data, providing reports and preparing information for Group Executive, Directors and other key stakeholders in appropriate formats in order to support decision making, efficient use of resources, effective business planning and compliance with regulatory requirements. Manage the recruitment, performance management and continual development of quality staff to ensure that resources are managed effectively to meet business needs. Contribute, as appropriate, to special programmes and projects in support of the Group's values and objectives. Skills and experiences: Recent experience of undertaking a similar role Comprehensive experience of developing and delivering services Comprehensive experience of managing projects with strong project management skill Proven experience of quality assurance principles for care provision Working knowledge of regulations, legislation and current practice Proven experience of analysing information and financial data, producing reports and making recommendations Proven experience of handling complaints and ability to prioritise the delivery of first class customer service Proven ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workloads Working knowledge of operating within a performance focused environment delivering key performance indicators Proven experience of effective communication at all levels Thorough experience of staff management and leading a team and managing budget Experience of working within GDPR regulations Ready to join us?
