An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Transformation within the Lean & Agile Solutions Team. The role will be in Solutions Enabling where we are tasked with identifying, prioritising and evaluating end-to-end transformational opportunities across the business to prepare them for process redesign and deployment in Solutions Hub.
As Business Change Analyst you will report to the Solutions Enabling Lead and have a pivotal role in the end-to-end transformation of our processes right across Scottish Water touching every part of what we do. During our journey preparation phase, you will be responsible for;
Creating and embedding a project structure to ensure all deliverables are met from journey identification through to deployment of new ways of working..- Developing a transformation hypothesis that senior leaders and key stakeholders support to drive the change
- Analysing and documenting end-to-end process and data journey maps
- Identifying and gathering evidence on pain points and waste throughout the processes.
- Working with the design team and subject matter experts to build an accurate picture of the current performance
- Creating key baseline performance metrics
- Building the benefits case for progression into Solutions Hub
- Ensuring the customer and business needs are aligned
- Ensuring the project is clearly defined and achievable within the agreed timescale and costs
- Working alongside and managing partners where required
The successful candidates will be able to challenge constructively to all levels and possess a critical mindset to ensure we achieve solutions that are fit for purpose, meet the user needs and deliver truly transformational outcomes. Strong planning and communication skills are essential, and programme management and scrum experience are desirable.
Desirable skills/knowledge
Experience deploying business process mapping methodologies (e.g. VSM, BPMN2), and of pain point and waste identification and analysis- An interest in, and understanding of, project management techniques
- Business case development – experience of preparing and presenting business cases to support funding and benefits realisation
- Experience of stakeholder engagement and analysis, ensuring the right approach is taken to ensure their needs are met.
- Work experience in business process management
- Process Improvement and verifiable experience with application of Lean/Agile principles
- Project and/or Programme Management training – APM/Prince2
- An understanding of Lean and Six sigma principles

Location: Flexible across Scotland - Part of the role will require F2F workshops/meetings
What you’ll get
The salary range for this position is £35,384 - £47,924 depending on experience.
