Why this job matters
Group Business Assurance (GBA) operates as a second line of defence, assuring the end to end (E2E) accuracy of supplier and customer charging whilst giving insight and consultancy to the business on improvements and optimisation opportunities.
The purpose of this role is to define, develop and execute the Group Business Assurance strategy for the ongoing Network & Usage related assurance of products and contracts. The role holder will support Assurance Operations, from revenue recovery through to root cause management for the Network or Usage related issues/incidents. They will also own the regulatory controls that are key to BT's regulatory compliance to OFCOM, and financial key control compliance.
Responsibilites
- Carry out coverage and risk assessments, including data capture, design, enagement and controls development
- Accountable for business engagement across a wide range of BT stakeholders
- Identify key opportunities for improvement and transformation, at both operational and strategic level and drives implementation
- Manage a small team of Business Assurance Analysts, providing coaching and development support
- Manage relationships with internal/external auditors and regulatory authorities
- E2E ownership for the root cause analysis and root cause managment, at either a single business unit or BT Group level, for the applicable Assurance remit of their role
- Ensures adherence to regulatory controls and financial key control compliance
- Ownership for areas of risk identified within role remit
- Proactively investigate and lead on new areas of possible leakage or margin improvement
- Ensure appropriate process documents are in place, for both direct team and assurance operations
Required Skills/Experience
- Significant Telecommunications experience in: business assurance, risk, compliance, network, business operations, audit or billing roles, contract management
- Advanced business assurance knowledge and understanding of audit processes
- Experience in data analysis and designing, documenting & maintaining controls to mitigate risk
- Knowledge of end to end XDR journey and systems across various platforms
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
