Bristol:
For this role you will be based in the Bristol area at either our Ashton House site or at our Bristol Business Park site in Stoke Gifford with access to work flexibly from the two different sites. Normal hours of work are 37 per week, Monday to Friday, with a flexible start and finish times.
This role is within the Marine Sector of Babcock International Group, which delivers a wide array of complex through-life marine engineering services to defence and civil customers across the globe. These range from UK and international naval fleet support, commercial marine, engineering consultancy, weapons handling, equipment support, intelligence, cyber security and training.
Mission Systems forms a critical, and growing part of Babcock’s Marine organisation. Working across a range of exciting design, manufacture and support projects, Mission Systems employs approximately 1,600 people across the UK and overseas with the largest sites based in Bristol, Plymouth, Portsmouth and Ashchurch.

Business Administration Apprenticeship:
If you are interested in starting a career in business but are not sure which area you are best suited to then our Business Administration scheme may be the perfect opportunity for you.
Our apprenticeship scheme will take 2 years to complete. During this time, you'll earn a competitive apprentice wage and gain hands-on experience in the workplace. As part of the structured training programme, you will complete your academic submission via distance learning whilst being provided with continual support within your role.
Possible placements:
Our 24-month apprenticeship programme will enable you to develop a range of highly transferable business administration skills. Work tasks will directly link to course modules. During the scheme you will undertake several placements with each placement lasting between 6 and 12 weeks thereby gaining real life work experience whilst earning a competitive salary. Using this experience, you will be able to define your career path before embarking on a “Substantive Role” in your second year in your preferred business area.
Alongside this, you will be assigned a tutor from the college who will visit you at work regularly and will agree targets with you to enable you to complete your college work.

At the end of the 2 years, having completed your apprenticeship your potential career options include Project Assistant, Executive Assistant, HR Administrator, Bid Coordinator or Finance Assistant.

Qualifications required:
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs at C/4 or higher, or equivalent Must include Maths and English
- GCSE ICT at Grade C/4+ would also be desirable
The ability to gain SC clearance.
