Morgan Stanley is seeking a Vice President for the Morgan Stanley Quantitative Research (QR) group in London, which works closely with the Execution business, including Morgan Stanley Electronic Trading (MSET). MSET is the ultimate owner of Morgan Stanley's agency execution platforms and bear regulatory and financial responsibility for the proper functioning of the algorithmic trading engines in the listed marketplace.
The Vice President will focus primarily on the cash trading execution analysis across EMEA. The primary responsibility will be to engage relationship managers and clients with the purpose of assessing execution, covering all aspects from anecdotes to quality of execution and recommendations. The individual will leverage their KDB, Python and statistical data analytics skills presenting a picture that will provide a clear trading insight.

What will you be doing?
- You will be working within a global team to analyze client trades.
- You will conduct research into market microstructure, liquidity, and execution trading cost.
- You will be providing recommendations on execution algorithms.
- You will work on reporting that form part of the firms Best Execution committee.
- Additional responsibilities may extend beyond the above.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven client-facing experience
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- A degree (Masters or PhD) in quantitative disciplines is preferred
- Demonstrable knowledge of electronic trading products
- Detailed knowledge of equity markets
- Solid technical knowledge with Python and KDB or similar

This role is deemed as a Certified role and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.
