We are looking for a new colleague who can join us for a 12 months fixed term contract with the possibility of extension or other permanent opportunities in the pipeline.


What’s the job purpose?

As a Business Analyst - in a flexible work environment (3 days in office a week) - you will be responsible for leading all enhanced and detailed business performance analysis and reviews for the Northern Europe Hub (UK, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland), leveraging the most appropriate data sources. You will help the business to accurately understand the actual and future evolution of the business performance and the impact of the different sales drivers and, as a result, will recommend the most appropriate actions to fix and / or improve the business performance. You are data agnostic and completely familiar with all data sources - meaning not only more traditional data sources (e.g. retail and consumer panel) but also embrace and leverage the new data sources coming in e.g. e-comm, digital marketing, professional data ecosystem etc.

You will report to the Business Analytics Manager, Europe with a dotted line to the Hub Marketing Director.


The responsibilities are:

  • Business Reviews: strategic analysis and deep dives for management, identify and map main business opportunities, read and anticipate key market trends. Also compile bi-annual category overviews to support Hub MYR/Budget process

  • Read business performance via 360’ degrees assessment, leveraging multiple data sources and information

  • Responsible for Descriptive Analytics for the Hub, to provide in-depth, fast and holistic category and business performance understanding and diagnostics fully embedded into the business. Forecast and planning, including strategic growth scenario development

  • Panels Management: Implement continuous process to maximize service & data quality from business partners i.e. Nielsen, Kantar and ensure alignment with quality standards

  • Manage the contracts and set performance KPIs and conduct quarterly/annual reviews of data providers

  • Ensure commercial team have access to the necessary training

  • Support / contribute to analytics projects (MMM, price, promo, portfolio and on-line) with proper tools, consultancy and analysis

  • 5+ years Analytics experience from either client and/or agency side

  • High competence in Nielsen systems i.e answers/i-sights

  • Outstanding Excel skills and very high competency in managing a large number of data files

  • Obsession with analytics and actionable insights

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to work under pressure, plan and set priorities

  • Confidence to challenge the status quo and influence people at all levels of the organization

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and decision making skills

  • Curiosity and proactivity to identify new opportunities for improvement and work with other functions to gain buy-in and initiate change

  • Team player – self starter, highly motivated with the teamwork skills to work collaboratively across functions to achieve results

  • Growth mindset & can do attitude
