Join the Corporate Development team which is responsible for the delivery of new initiatives from inception to completion and the optimisation and institutionalisation of existing processes in Mako. Through deep understanding of the business, from trading & technology strategy to operations and compliance, Corporate Development coordinates the development and delivery of Mako's strategic projects.
The Business Analyst - which is a newly created role, will work closely with internal stakeholders to optimise the core business and assist in researching and delivering new initiatives for Mako. We are looking for an intelligent and enthusiastic team player who will be responsible for helping the business leverage data and identify opportunities for growth, as well as recognise potential issues and work with the technical experts to find solutions.
What you'll be involved in:
- Building relationships with internal stakeholders to research and improve processes;
- Developing an understanding of internal processes across the core business and be able to liaise with external parties to coordinate new services;
- Working across both the core trading business and new initiatives to assist in a variety of operational requests and project delivery;
- Coordinating and helping with the management of initiatives to completion;
- Preparing and presenting analyses and results to non-expert team members, the management team and technical experts throughout different projects and processes;
- Document and design processes to socialise across the business.
What we need from you:
- A consultative and inclusive approach to problem solving;
- An ability to think proactively and work collaboratively across teams and global offices, as well as autonomously;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Creative presentation skills;
- Experience of project management is a plus however organisational skills are key;
- An ability to embrace complexity and grasp new concepts;
- An inquisitive nature;
- 1+ years of professional experience;
- Prior experience in the Finance industry advantageous but not a prerequisite;
- Minimum 2.1 in any degree subject.
