Starting salary from £29,619 per annum, or at £24,948 per annum for a junior Business Analyst role - depending on skills and experience.
Are you a Business Analyst looking for a rewarding career in a friendly and nurturing environment?
This is an exciting opportunity to support the University in reaching its digital ambitions. Working within the ICT department in the Architecture and Business Analysis team you will be helping the University meet its strategic aims through effective technology. You will be part of a small team ensuring that identified opportunities are analysed for their information needs, and these requirements are correctly matched in the solutions being delivered.
We’re looking for:
- Strong personal skills; you have the ability to understand user needs, generate ideas, and apply analytic methods and tools effectively.
- Ability to conduct effective requirements workshops and can adapt a variety of techniques to elicit details from a wide set of stakeholders across the University.
- Produce cost-benefit analysis evaluating the costs and benefits of different IT solutions, recommending the most cost-effective and efficient approach to meeting business needs.
- A passion for delivery achieved through well-communicated requirements, options papers, workflow mapping, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Someone keen to contribute to continuous improvement of their work and that of the Business Analysts’ practice within the University.
- Self-motivation and willingness to address challenges as they arise.
- Critical thinker to problem solving, investigate options and alternatives and not accepting of solutions being presented without full consideration of needs.
- BCS or equivalent accreditation in Business Analysis (not compulsory).
- Knowledge and proficiency in BPMN (not compulsory).
- 2 or more years in an ICT business analyst or similar role (not essential for Junior role).
This could be a junior role for a candidate who has a passion to become a Business Analyst and shows potential but does not currently have the level of experience. This will attract additional training and mentoring that will lead on to the full business analyst role.
What we can offer:
We provide our staff with a comprehensive benefit package which includes 30 days of annual leave (with additional University closure days and bank holidays), a generous pension scheme, and a variety of benefits and development opportunities.
This is a hybrid-working role, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work from home for part of their working week. You will also have the opportunity to work at our brand new, state-of-the-art professional services centre, due to open in 2023.
