Job Summary

  • The Business Analyst is responsible for leading a series of operational improvement projects, business initiatives, and business as usual activities in a growing purchasing and operations function which delivers day to day sales support, order processing, and procurement services to a leading IT reseller business. It also includes a Microsoft and Cisco dedicated operations team.
  • Accountabilities and main responsibilities
  • Driving a significant operations transformation programme and being a key interface into a centralised change team and key stakeholders outside of Operations.
  • Consolidating & prioritising operations requirements in line with business priorities and strategy
  • Take a lead role in the redesign of organisational resource, process and tool sets, demonstrating a high level of understanding with respect to customer drivers and requirements (internal and external), contractual agreements, service architecture (current & future) and service management functions (current & future).
  • Oversee and assist with the implementation of ongoing operational transformation within the sales operation and delivery management function.
  • Measure the effectiveness and efficiency of operational processes, striving for consistency and best practice throughout.
  • Promote communication between colleagues for the benefit of information flow to address any problems that arise, maximising effective collaboration.
  • Ensure there is linkage between Operations, Sales & Product in order to ensure that the right outcomes are delivered on time and to budget.
  • Work with the Service Operational Staff to drive business change into the existing customer legacy service models to ensure continuous improvement and maximising Customer Excellence and efficiency within the annuity customer install base
  • Drive and engage key stakeholders in the change process for continuous improvement, sharing best practice across all teams.
  • Lead the analysis of processes, problems and performance in order to drive innovation and change.
  • Actively drive business and systems improvements that will enhance Margins, SLAs, Customer Satisfaction and/or Employee satisfaction.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expert advice and guidance pertinent to experience.

Essential

  • Proven track record in an operational management / improvement role within a sales driven technology business, ideally an IT reseller or procurement business.
  • Experience within an organisation, helping to manage, change and plan operational and process improvement for the future in line with their goals. This could be for one specific project, or as a permanent feature of the organisation / continued improvement
  • Ability to communicate with internal colleagues to understand the needs of departments and the organisation as a whole.

Desirable:

  • Demonstrable experience of delivering operational excellence and a commercially driven, business-focused approach.
  • Relevant professional qualification such as Six Sigma and/or industry recognised business analysis professional certification
  • Effective risk management and experience in adoption of fit-for-purpose operational sales and purchasing processes.
