Job description

You bring your customer and user centric approach to influence strategic IT initiatives which support the outcomes for the Commercial & Industrial and Generation Business. You act with integrity, taking personal responsibility to deliver change and improvements within our approach, processes and delivery. You are collaborative and act to remove barriers, ensuring all perspectives are heard before decisions are taken as we work towards a more sustainable future.

How will I spend my time in this role?

  • Lead engagement with stakeholders, project, and application teams to elicit business problems and functional/non-functional requirements;
  • Define appropriate project artefacts (user stories, process maps, wireframes, impact assessments) to communicate requirements and supporting information, including dependencies and assumptions;
  • Facilitate prioritisation of requirements, highlighting where there may be impacts to the scope or benefits of the project;
  • Collaborate with team members, ensuring their (test, architectural, project management) deliverables are aligned with requirements from;
  • Provide holistic support throughout the project from ideation through to implementation;
  • Work with vendors and IT delivery teams to ensure the solution meets business needs and benefits can be realised;
  • Take an active role in developing Business Analysis best practice within the IT and Change community.

What skills/experience do I need to be considered?

  • Experience as a Business or IT Analyst within energy or another regulated industry;
  • Proven track record working within complex and/or large-scale projects;
  • Strong stakeholder engagement across all levels within IT, business units and vendor management;
  • Energy generation and supply, ideally with an understanding of pricing or industry flows;
  • Software development lifecycle including waterfall and agile methodologies.
