The purpose of this role is to provide business analysis across the Enterprise functions and wider business units, providing a detailed understanding of current business processes and the impact of the change throughout the change life cycle by translating ideas into potential business processes or system solutions. This will take on the form of eliciting, capturing, validating, documenting and obtaining sign off on business requirements across all levels of change.
The key strategic nature of many of the projects and changes that are managed through the team will also provide the opportunity to work with a variety of people and teams and will regularly involve interaction with senior management. Main Responsibilities- Capturing, interpreting, and translating business requirements from change / product owners and subject matter experts and turning that into requirement documentation for use in change delivery through sprint cycles and other change methodologies.
- Engineering requirements to ensure they are relevant, accurate, validated, and signed off within the business before being passed through to technical analysis, development, and test.
- Facilitation of effective workshops and meetings by using smart questioning to draw out requirements, options, and outcomes
- Being business solution focused, evaluating multiple options before helping the business to settle on a solution, recommending ways to tackle a task or solve a problem
- Identifying system and operational process gaps, pro-actively raising these to the relevant department and support in the creation of their change requests and looking for opportunities as part of continuous improvement
- Maintaining knowledge of the project and change lifecycles
- Applying project methodologies utilised within Saga
- Gaining an extensive knowledge of systems, operations, and people across the business
- Demonstrating and maintaining a logical approach and open mind to problem solving
- Ensuring swift progress across multiple concurrent projects through organisation and time management skills, whilst being able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and workloads.
- Being able to work under my own initiative with a brief understanding of the task required, working out a plan of who to speak to and apply the right technique to elicit the required information.
- Effectively managing stakeholder expectations around scope, delivery, and timescales.
- Building strong relationships with all levels of personnel both internal and external to complete tasks.
- Ensuring actions, risks, issues, and decisions are logged against appropriate change items in accordance with the best practice requirements of Change Management
- Reporting and tracking progress across my assigned projects, identifying and escalating any blockers hindering progress where necessary
- Liaison with other department to represent the Enterprise Change Team
- Continually learning and sharing lessons with my peer group
- Supporting Project Managers and Scrum/Squad Teams within Change where additional analysis is required
