Department Overview:
OSTTRA combines the flagship electronic trade confirmation, position reconciliation and related workflow platforms from its parent companies to provide a single gateway for over the counter (OTC) derivative transaction processing globally. Our combined solution helps to reduce operational risk, streamline processing, and improve the safety and certainty of the OTC derivatives markets by simplifying and automating trade processing across the major asset classes.
OSTTRA is a joint venture owned 50/50 by CME Group and IHS Markit. It is the home of MarkitServ, Traiana, TriOptima & Reset.
Position Summary:
Our platforms are constantly evolving for complex OTC derivatives as well as maintaining alignment with the latest regulatory changes.
Some previous financial experience would be beneficial, however more important is the capability to identify effective solutions to business problems and translate these ideas into a production solution. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a FinTech that already counts all major investment banks among its clients and has a vast depth and breadth of OTC derivative solutions.
You will work primarily on our regulatory reporting solution to define and deliver solutions relating to various requirements defined by regulators across the globe including CFTC, SEC, ESMA, FCA, ASIC, MAS, HKMA and Canada. This role presents an excellent opportunity to be part of our London team, collaborating with colleagues across multiple regions globally, with a strong focus on delivering value through robust solutions.
What You'll Do:
Elicit requirements from the regulations and liaising with industry stakeholders
Use your analysis experience to define requirements for delivery
Work closely with the project team to deliver high quality solutions
Conduct presentations of concepts and ideas
Participate in industry working groups representing OSTTRA
Product Acceptance testing of new features during the development phase & review of test cases
You’ll interact with a range of technical and non-technical colleagues to coordinate work effectively and remove blockers and barriers to progress
What You Need to Get the Job Done:
Prior background as a Business Analyst or related role
Strong problem-solving skills
Experience of Requirements Elicitation, using various business process modelling techniques
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Desired Skills:
Experience with working in regulatory reporting services
Understanding of regulatory reporting eco-system within the industry
Knowledge of financial markets, specifically interest rates, credit, and equity derivatives
Understanding of XML/FpML
Experience with Jira and Confluence
Working Knowledge of Microsoft Visio
