Job description

Business Analyst

We are looking for a great communicator with an analytical mind who can bridge the gap between our software projects and our businesses, developing their requirements, and identifying opportunities for change.

Why Us?

Welcome to Rix Digital - a team of visionaries, creators, and problem-solvers who are transforming a 150-year-old family business into a modern, digital-first powerhouse.

We are a one-stop-shop for Rix’s 18 brands with services ranging from branding and messaging to website development and process optimisation. Our goal is to help our brands create a cohesive strategy to drive growth and success.

Our projects team don’t just pick software solutions, instead they take the time to understand the pain points of users across the business. This ensures they understand the root cause of the problem before they develop a solution, test its effectiveness, and implement it into standard processes.

We’re driven by a shared passion for innovation and a desire to make a difference. We're not afraid to take risks, try new things, and fail fast. We know that true transformation requires a willingness to embrace change and a commitment to pushing through the obstacles that stand in our way.

Who are you?

You are someone who works well with others, collaborating to understand the pain points associated with a process, and then looks to drive solutions that make people’s lives easier.

As part of a team, you’ll show that you can take responsibility for business analysis across group-wide projects where your contribution is valued. The advice you help identify and decisions made will have a measurable impact on the profitability or effectiveness of Rix.

You’ll validate and justify business needs, conduct feasibility studies, develop information and process models, help review potential partners and produce high-level and detailed business cases which take into account the implications of change on the organization and all stakeholders.

You are someone who has the potential to guide senior management towards accepting recommended changes brought through process and organisation change.

You will have a good understanding of Agile projects, particularly Scrum. We would love it if you knew Design Thinking too.

Skills required

A strong understanding of delivering and enhancing software products as a Business Analyst, where building end to end user journeys and processes and their supporting technologies is key

The ability to build effective, productive relationships with our businesses and third-party stakeholders.

A team player who can work together with colleagues to continually improve the way we carry out Business Analysis.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of working with people at all levels within and external to the business.

Proven experience of accurately eliciting, documenting, and delivering high quality deliverables including user stories, functional and non-functional specifications, ‘as-is’ and ‘to-be’ process models.

Proven experience of the ensuring the documentation and traceability of requirements and user stories throughout the software development lifecycle

Proven experience of translating business requirements into technical design, working alongside development teams.

Evidence of the application of soft influencing and persuasion skills that have improved project outcomes
