As part of your role, you will work toward completing a Level 4 Business Analyst apprenticeship with the potential opportunity to progress onto a degree apprenticeship for the right candidate. You will gain experience of working with business representatives across all functions and IT teams, to understand and create business requirements to develop and implement IT solutions, analysing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing IT systems and provide recommendations for improving or further leveraging any current systems and processes and applying solid communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT systems into the workplace.

You will be responsible for:
- Working as part of the central IT department and work with colleagues to create user stories which reflect business requirements
- Creating business cases for change initiatives, showing value, cost and identifying the return on investment
- Attend internal and external training sessions and workshops to learn and apply business analysis methodologies
- Collaborating with other IT scrum teams, business stakeholders, colleagues, and suppliers to ensure that change goals are clearly defined and understood
- Communicating the progress of change to colleagues, stakeholders, team-mates, and customers, ensuring that they are informed and involved
- Supporting Project Managers and the Scrum teams in active change delivery including defining goals, plans, and monitoring progress
- Supporting final project and change deliverables
- Documentation of Business Requirements
- Creating Process Flows
- Adherence to IT Processes and Polices
- Interdepartmental working with other Business Teams
- Conducting Self Learning Training
You will need the following skills:
- No formal experience is required as full training will be given. However, we are looking for an individual who is keen to learn, can manage their time well and is looking to continually develop their skills
- The drive and determination to excel during a challenging apprenticeship
- A good team worker and ability to communicate with others
- A friendly, positive, hardworking approach to work
- Must be over 18 years of age at the start of the apprenticeship
Entry requirements:
- Level 3 Qualification + at least 12 months of work experience* + robust onboarding plan (learner must work in the organisation for 3 months before signing up)
- OR business-related degree eg business, finance, economics, maths, etc.
- OR non-business-related degree + at least 6 months of work experience*
- OR existing staff member with 2+ years of work experience**
- Work experience relates to any valid work experience
**Existing staff work experience should not be in a business analyst role
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
