Paydock is a Fintech Scaleup. We provide a sophisticated payment solution to online merchants who want to increase profit and flexibility in their payment solution. We work with large retailers, financial institutions, marketplaces and large Not-For-Profits. Our teams are located internationally across 11 countries globally.
Paydock is seeking a Business Analyst based in Europe to join our global team. Your key role will be to support the Product Team as it builds a world class payment solution for its clients.
You will have the opportunity to work with global leaders, payment service providers and technology vendors across Europe, APAC, US and other markets while being part of the next generation of payments for merchants and the industry.
Report
As a significant role in the business, you will report into one of the Product Managers directly reporting to the Head of Product
Responsibilities
- Work with the Product Manager on backlog management and developments
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to gather business requirements, make recommendations, outline problems, opportunities and write detailed business solutions in a form of use case and user story.
- Own and facilitate requirements lifecycle sessions: feasibility, exploration, engineering, deployment.
- Conduct research to determine if solutions to the business requirements currently exist within the business and/or market, and if not, whether new solutions are feasible.
- Manage requirements backlog and facilitate prioritisation sessions.
- Communicate business priorities to the Product team to drive effective solutions, and act as the liaison between other departments and the Product team.
- Articulate to the Product team the vision of what the business needs and work with the Head of Product to ensure what is delivered meets those needs.
- Create effective user journeys, stories, and process flows to the Product development team working in an agile manner.
- Effectively support the Product delivery team through changes in objectives and the re-prioritisation of requirements.
- Maintenance of JIRA to ensure accuracy and transparency of current pipelineEffectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
- Define the scope or describe requirements in detail for delightful implementation.
- Track changes required in the project and perform analytics and reporting of key metrics as and when needed. Leading agile ceremonies and undertaking sprint planning
Skills and Experiences (Must Have)
- At least 2 years of commercial experience
- Confident writing and speaking skills, including technical language
- Experience working with APIs and other technical solutions
- Desire to work in an exciting fast paced environment
- Excellent communication skills; ability to articulate concepts succinctly for others to understandStrong technical understanding, capability and willingness to learn and develop skills
- Ability to listen well and summarise information so it can be easily understood by others including in presentations and diagramming tools
- Willingness to be flexible when working with global teams
- Confident conducting show and tell sessions with end customers
- Ability to quickly identify risks and blockers on time
- Previous experience with database and postman collections
- Managing Scrum rituals, such as daily stand-ups, sprint and release planning sessions, grooming sessions, demos, etc.
- Preparing product-related documentation, namely sprint and quarter plans, risks backlog, etc
- Tracking and monitoring of development A self-starter attitude (curious, motivated and resourceful), with an eagerness to learn
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Process oriented mindset and enjoys problem solving
It would be great if you have (Not essential)
- Prince2/ Scrum certifications
- Experience working in a fast growth scaleup
- Paytech experience Experience working across multiple time zones
