  • Stakeholder Engagement: Lead project kick-off sessions with key stakeholders and refine requirements during collaborative "3 Amigos" discussions.
  • Strategic Influence: Present recommendations to Senior Management and Directors, providing valuable feedback to enhance decision-making.
  • Team Collaboration: Contribute to the team's strategic direction, participating in research, idea presentation, and requirements gathering.
  • Project Support: Create and maintain project tickets and tasks, facilitating seamless delivery and continuous project evolution.
  • Issue Evaluation: Evaluate the impact of issues and bugs, conveying insights to the Delivery Manager for timely resolutions.
  • Holistic Understanding: Maintain a profound understanding of product functionality and end-to-end user journeys to produce precise requirement documentation.
  • Process Improvement: Investigate and document existing business processes, identifying opportunities for enhancement and change.
  • User-Centric Focus: Identify and validate user acceptance criteria based on business requirements, solution designs, and testing strategies.
  • Project Governance: Support the enforcement of project deadlines and schedules, ensuring successful project delivery.

Skills-wise, you’ll definitely:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • Excellent verbal, written and visual (diagrammatic) communication skills.
  • Practical knowledge of Agile methodologies.
  • Good working knowledge of the SDLC process.
  • Excellent knowledge of best practice business analysis tools and techniques utilising an array of techniques, such as workshops, to gather and elicit requirements.
  • Solid technical awareness, including experience with API documentation.
  • Used to a fast paced and dynamic working environment.
  • Has the ability to understand and interpret business information, and an enthusiastic approach to moving the business forward.
  • Able to drive creative thinking, beyond the boundaries of current knowledge base.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • An understanding and significant experience of working within a financial technology services operation and a regulated environment.
  • An obsession with detail to enable production of world-class requirement packs.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.

And ideally, you’ll also:

  • Recognised business analysis qualification e.g. BCS/IIBA.
  • Experience of delivering medium/large complex projects.
  • Experience in project management

If you're eager to catalyse our mission to transform financial wellbeing and possess the qualifications and drive we're seeking, we invite you to embark on this exciting journey with us at Ocean. Together, we'll pioneer a new era of financial inclusivity and empowerment.

What we’ll do for you

  • Pay you competitively and review your salary every year
  • Welcome you into our awesome team (dare we say the best? We do, yes!)
  • Bring the kind of vibe where we want you to share your ideas, even if it’s not “your area”
  • Provide you with all the kit you need to work from home. Of course, you can also work from our Manchester or Cyprus offices, too.
  • Help you plan for life after work with our pension scheme
  • Flexible benefits to suit you and your life choosing from Ocean Health Plan or PerkBox or both!
  • Take care of your health with eye test vouchers
  • Give you 25 days holiday (to start with), as well as local public holidays and a day off on your birthday
  • Support you with training, mentoring and anything else you need to further your development and hit your career goals
  • Invite you to regular online and in-person team socials, as well as the occasional team retreat somewhere exotic
  • Help you help others with optional “community” days for volunteering
