Whether evaluating an existing product or service, or generating insights and requirements for a new one, you will be expected to define and conduct whatever analysis activities are needed to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation. You will collect and analyse data related to systems, processes, and usage of services, interpreting these to make the case for change.

There is no such thing as a typical day, customer, or project, but you will be responsible for:

  • Turning analytical findings into business recommendations
  • Assessing the potential impact and value of any recommended improvements / innovations
  • Communicating your findings through appropriate analytical outputs including user journeys, service blueprints, target operating models, new systems, or processes
  • Developing and delivering workshops with stakeholders

The Candidate:

  • You will be an experienced Business Analyst with service transformation experience
  • You will be happy working in a collaborative environment
  • You will always be brave enough to ask the right questions and do the right thing
  • You are happy working in the unknown and comfortable exploring different solution options before landing on the right outcome
  • You will have excellent communication skills – confident communicating between the technical and non-technical
  • Ideally you will have a recognised qualification such as LEAN/SIX SIGMA, but it is important that you have lots of hands-on experience and the right attitude to help our customers on their improvement journey.

Location and Working Pattern:

This post is based in either Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Meridian Court, Glasgow and Dundee.

However, it should be noted that NSS is currently in the process of relocating from Meridian Court to nearby Delta House, 50 West Nile Street Glasgow G1 2NP.
