WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site

Working within the Strategic Ledger Lab in the Finance Platform, Business Analysts are responsible for assisting with the realisation of value for the LBG Group Finance Ledger product. The product encompasses the following Finance capabilities: Ledger Accounting, Group Consolidation, Ledger Data Integration and Ledger Reconciliation and Attestation. The product spans the associated technology, processes, data and people.
Day to day you’ll be;
- Supporting the Product Owner/Project Manager to understand business problems, critically evaluating business ideas from a customer and a commercial point of view.
- Identifying underlying business needs to be addressed, challenging existing practices and ensuring requirements will address the defined business problem.
- Supporting the Product Owner/Project Manager to translate business needs into project objectives, features and requirements.
- Providing challenge, conflict resolution, validation and proposed solutions as appropriate.
- Supporting the team with testing preparation and acceptance testing to ensure the solution meets the identified business need, and be accountable for capturing acceptance criteria that fulfil the team’s definition of "Done".

What you’ll need
- You’ll be an experienced BA with an excellent track record in a delivery focused role with experience in identifying the business needs, shaping initiatives and analysing requirements, as well as supporting the testing and implementation of agreed solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- The ability to interpret the data and analysis requirements from a deep understanding of the business context.
- A great communicator, capable of delivering clear messages to a variety of stakeholders and teams providing clear understanding for colleagues, both verbally and in writing.
And any experience of these would be really useful
- A flexible approach, open to learning new skills.
- A well-developed analysis & communication kit bag.
- Experience of both Agile and Waterfall delivery
- A natural facilitator, negotiator and decision-maker, collaborating across all disciplines within the Lab.
- Ability to influence positively - demonstrating similar values and behaviours to our Group's and encouraging this in team members and across the analysis community.
