Job Title: Business Data Analyst

Key Responsibilities:
This role has split responsibilities across the Business Data Team, having a dotted line in to two of the Managers which sit beneath the Head of Data. This role will be a shared resource across teams and will need to manage expectations, deadlines and conflicting priorities to ensure that as a wider team we are able to meet our respective requirements/deadlines and to help ensure that we have capacity in the right specialist area as we progress through key initiatives.
Supporting the Data Operations Manager:
Cleansing the different types of client data using existing systems data and third party portals- Assisting with loading the cleansed data to a central database
- Reconciling and cleansing party data that exists in our systems
- Checking and researching party data in third party tools such as the Dun and bradstreet tool
- Researching clients using search engines
Supporting the Data Integrity Manager:
Point of contact for the team for Iris (source system) queries, development, testing and investigation- Identify and implement source system amendments (where applicable) to ensure accuracy of data
- Responsible for ensuring all daily controls are completed, and issues identified (DQPro)
- Responsible for ensuring all assigned queries are resolved within their required SLA – both internal and external
- Assist with Audit, Risk and Compliance where required, to ensure that key data controls are effective
- Seek opportunities across all areas of LSM to improve data and develop business processes if required
Skills and Experience:
- Competent at analysing large datasets, and reporting respective findings
- Able to produce analytical outputs and assumptions to determine best approach next steps
- Ability to present data back to a wider group as required and to use initiative on prioritization and liasing with key stakeholders
- Build strong relationships across the business
- Able to present feedback and issues in a clear and concise manner
- Advanced Excel skills
- Preparing summary reports/able to present findings to senior stakeholders
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to problem solve
- Timekeeping and ability to self-start/organize priorities
- Insurance knowledge (preferably Lloyd’s and Company)
- Ideally specific system knowledge – GENIUS/IRIS
