Your role at a glance

We have a new exciting opportunity here at Legal & General Investment Management for a seasoned Business Analyst within the Business Design & Consulting function of the Business Change team. The Business change team is responsible for LGIM’s change portfolio and the Core Business Analysis team is responsible for helping to navigate business change through the change framework, influencing and helping to direct solutions and design through the lifecycle of the projects.

Your role will be to identify and manage the 'big picture' associated with any change and proactively work with stakeholders to optimise, enable and drive workstream delivery.

Your initial engagement will be involved in an expansion programme which this role will determinde the TOM (Target Operating Model) for this expansion programme.

What you'll be doing

• Work with the Architecture team to identify innovative, effective and scalable approaches to tackle changes.
• Work with technology and outsourced providers to manage and deliver changes in the most optimised manner.
• Review business processes of in-scope regulations against the LGIM’s strategic operating model and identify affected business processes.
• Review data flows, apply data management principles and perform extensive data analysis where required.
• Capture and document the as-is and to-be Target Operating Models, incorporating processes, organisation, technology and information themes, using a variety of business analysis techniques.
• Document requirements in Jira and manage and progress backlog items working with wider team.
• Act in a business consultancy capacity; managing competing requirements, configuring and managing workshops and, where appropriate, acting in a Product Owner capacity.
• Derive and define high level business requirements, map out appropriate Epics and User Stories to support delivery. Look for re-use opportunities and identify appropriate value streams.
• Liaise with technical delivery teams throughout the change lifecycle; manage the relationships.
• Support technology teams in development phase and help with test planning, documentation and creation of test scripts.

What we're looking for

For this specific role we are looking for previous in-depth experience within the Asset Management industry, someone who is capable of driving large programs from feasibility analysis to inception and through to delivery. We are looking for someone who can see the bigger picture and can act as expert counsel to align Business Change ideas to Operating Model, Architecture and Strategic themes. Someone who is at home operating in a lean, agile environment and is comfortable formulating and consulting on Epics across identified value streams. Some other key areas of experience that we are looking for are as follows;

• Experience working on Front Office, Middle Office, ESG or Regulatory programmes in an Investment Management organisation is highly desirable.
• Experience performing feasibility activities and creating structured business cases.
• Evidence of a structured approach to analysis and documentation, using recognised tools and techniques.
• Experience of requirements elicitation and design and target operating model definition.
• Experience of Agile/iterative delivery and contribution to/creation of business cases
