We have an amazing permanent opportunity here at Legal & General for an experienced Business Analyst to join an agile delivery team to take accountability for requirements gathering and converting these into user stories in our insurance business unit. You'll have an opportunity to take full ownership of tasks and face off to an executive level within our business.
You'll be leading the requirements elicitation process on projects, including activities and deliverables for defining the business opportunity/problem, planning and executing business analysis activities.
What you'll be doing
- As part pf your role here at Legal & General, you'll have a multitude of responsibilities, such as;
- Lead requirements elicitation processes on projects, including activities and deliverables for defining the business opportunity/problem, planning and executing business analysis, eliciting requirements from stakeholders and requirements documentation.
- Document requirements according to agreed framework artefacts for given project, including Agile user stories or orthodox waterfall requirements catalogue.
- Conduct requirements validation with stakeholders, gain appropriate approvals, and manage the change processes for requirements documentation. Support Product Owner in Agile projects facilitating backlog management.
- Ensure that there is clear requirements traceability throughout the lifecycle of the project, including user story acceptance criteria for Agile projects.
- Lead and/or support Product Owner as Design Authority in scrum team projects, facilitating sprint ceremonies (such as Show and Tell, Design Authority Scrums)
- Critically review and evaluate any proposed solutions identifying alignment with business strategies making recommendations to key stakeholders ensuring they are fully aware of key risks and assumptions.
- Continually evaluate the quality of all deliverables, including those of 3rd parties, to ensure the end product is fit for purpose and are acceptable to all stakeholders.
- Ensure P3M3 Level 3 maturity is achieved and maintained by adhering to the L&G standards and core frameworks, ensuring that there is consistent high-quality output.
- Take responsibility for the delivery of work packages allocated to less experienced staff, coaching and motivating them to deliver to the required standards.
Evidential Business Analysis experience.
Experience of multiple software delivery methodologies (Agile scrum, Waterfall)
Experience of Operational Change, Data & Process modelling, mapping, continuous improvement & re-engineering.
Extensive experience of creating user stories
