Job title: Business Analyst
Contract: x2 Fixed Term Contract (12 months)
Location: Office based 20-40% at Stratford, London or Sale Point, Manchester with the option to work from Sidcup, Kent *

Persona: Agile, Office based 20-40% dependant on business needs
Salary: London Weighted: £49,675 - £55,000/ Regional - Outside London £42,846 - 47,886 pa dependant on experience and location

A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Analyst to join L&Q at a very exciting time where we are beginning a journey to transform the way we manage information about our buildings not only to provide a better service to customers old and new, but also to demonstrate that we manage our buildings safely.


This role will work within one of a number of data related work stream of a large scale, long term transformation programme designed to revolutionise the way we support our tenants. The role will involve leading on analysis across this workstream including process mapping, capturing and elaborating on user requirements and supporting the wider programme in identifying and implementing a suitable new solution.


This role will report into the Senior Business Analyst within the Business Applications team. The priority and direction in terms of work will be determined by the Transformation programme with day to day oversight and support provided by the workstream lead.


Main Focus of the Role


There are a number of workstreams across the Transformation programme related to data including Data Migration, Data Cleansing, Data Design, and Data Literacy and Governance. This role would support the Data Design workstream in ensuring effective gathering and translation of business requirements into technical specifications. They are required to analyse and evaluate complex business problems and recommend solutions as well as to work collaboratively alongside a small team of analysts.


Skills Required:


  • Strong analytical skills to understand and evaluate data requirements
  • Ability to elicit and translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Experience working on large scale technical implementations
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers and data experts as well as SMEs within the business
  • Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations is an advantage
  • Familiarity with data design
  • Experience in creating data models and entity-relationship diagrams is an advantage
  • Ability to plan and prioritise tasks effectively
