Knightsbridge Consulting is looking for Business Analyst to join our growing team.

Job Summary

The Business Analyst is responsible for business process analysis & design, root cause & gap analysis, improvement identification and implementation, requirements management, and mapping of business processes across all functional operational activities.

Reporting to the Business Analyst Lead, the role will be based in London and will focus on the small change/demand management process, which is driven by the business in an agile framework.

The changes will vary in scope across the organisation and the Business Analyst will be expected to manage key senior stakeholders, while working with a high degree of autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engaging with a range of stakeholders across the business to facilitate, document and present VOC, VOP, Personas, and Use Cases.
  • Analysing the AS-IS business processes and activities across functions and be able to recommend the necessary changes for arriving at the improved state.
  • Identifying, documenting, and presenting vital business process information and metrics across the AS IS and TO BE states.
  • Work independently at examining processes, data, and systems to understand the opportunities and impacts across Operations when forming the basis of the improvements and TO BE state.
  • Testing and executing business process, procedure and system changes ensuring the expected outcomes are in line with stakeholder requirements and project goals.
  • Monitoring and supporting the implementation of the TO BE state, setting up effective metrics to track improvements and continually validate learning with stakeholders.
  • Champion and apply best practice tools and techniques from Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen events, Design Thinking and BPM methodologies with Stakeholders and Change Team.
  • Supporting the development of the project charter, planning and execution of agreed project activities.
  • Ensuring the Change function is conducting its business in line with all regulatory requirements and involvement in market driven projects where required.
  • Capturing, analysing, and documenting business requirements.
  • Assessing the business impact of any change or new process requirements identified.
  • Liaise with the business, facilitating meetings to gain an understanding of their area and working closely with the business throughout the whole assignment.
  • Introducing new and improved processes to the business and supporting the communication and delivery of requirements with relevant stakeholders.
  • Plan, organise, co-ordinate and control UAT effort for all process and system changes.
  • Supporting completion of the business case and project charter.
  • Develop deep understanding of the business to add value in developing solution options and problem solving.
  • Provide the business with effective support and advice/expertise in relation to operational changes to be used/implemented, including updated procedures and User Guides.
  • Workshop planning and facilitation.

Required Qualifications And Experience

  • Insurance industry experience including London Market and Lloyd’s preferred

Skills

  • Effective communication skills in both written and oral form
  • A high level of analytical, problem solving and numerical skills
  • Ability to understand problems and express the complexity of them in clear terms in varying formats depending on the audience
  • Excellent client facing skills/collaboration and stakeholder management and engagement
  • Ability to influence and coordinate senior stakeholders and concurrent projects
  • Able to work effectively and self-sufficiently
  • Aptitude for multi-tasking, working to emerging and tight timelines
  • Strong process mapping skills, process data synthesis and value add analysis with preferred process improvement project experience preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma and Process Reengineering experience preferred
  • Project Management, i.e. Prince II qualification beneficial
  • MS Office, including Visio and advanced Excel

  • Process maps; As is / To be, Cross Functional Process Flow, BPMN, Value Stream Mapping
  • Lean, Agile and Design Thinking application
  • High level business process requirements, VOC, Time Motion Metrics, Waste Analysis
  • Documented AS IS and TO BE process, SOP, Implementation guides
  • Stakeholder matrix creation and upkeep
  • Organisation charts
  • Regular updates to various forums
  • SIPOC’s creations and utilisation
  • Resource utilisation matrix

  • · Strong London market / speciality insurance experience
  • · Experience implementing large scale PAS programmes.
  • · Deep understanding of User stories, business requirements and test cases
  • · Experience working with Azure / Azure DevOps

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £45,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
