Job description
Kennedys is looking for a Business Analyst to help drive the implementation of various IT systems globally. It will include analysis, documentation and design of end to end processes (As-Is and To-Be), focusing on standardising working practices to drive efficiencies globally.
Team
Kennedys IT is responsible for the maintenance of IT systems and security across the firm, including its portfolio of managed bespoke and off-the-shelf applications. This role will work across all IT functions and, in the case of broader projects, occasionally with other teams within the firm.
The majority of the global IT team are in London and Chelmsford, although some staff are based in other UK and non-UK offices. As a team which provides truly global service, the team are used to working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and undertake formal analysis and validation of requirements for new systems and enhancements to existing systems
- Research possible software or process solutions to increase work efficiency
- Interpret, evaluate and interrelate research data and developed integrated business analyses projections for incorporation into strategic decision making; prepare technical reports by collecting, analysing and summarizing information and trends
- Identify opportunities for improvement within processes by developing business analyses, quantifying benefits and costs as appropriate and prioritising for review.
Required experience
- Educated to degree level or with appropriate professional experience with business practice tools (e.g. BPMN)
- 3+ years' experience of working in a similar role, ideally in a professional services business, with hands on experience of working on projects through a full lifecycle of initial requirements gathering and specification through to the acceptance and delivery of solutions/outcomes
- Technical background with ability to learn new systems quickly
- Ability to work within an both an Agile or Waterfall environment; familiar with the techniques and ways of working
- Comfortable working both with data and people; an eye for detail
- Experience with legal systems (e.g IManage DMS, Interaction, Case Management systems), claims systems experience, and infrastructure (e.g. Office365, Teams)
- Ability to communicate effectively across organisational and technical boundaries, understanding the context. You can advocate and communicate what a team does to create trust and authenticity. You know how to successfully react and respond to challenge
- Proven influencing skills across all levels of a business
- Demonstrable experience in challenging and improving organisational processes where it impacts the pace of the team
- Experience in data mapping techniques and migrations to aid the successfully migration of data from different systems
- Working with technical teams covering Infrastructure, Development, Training and Product management.
